Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a price list?
Nearly all Deya's work comprises large volumes of heavyweight items. Prices are
based on a number of variables. As a guide we can say that the cost of delivering
directories is likely to be between £200 and £400 per thousand subject to the
exact requirements of the campaign.
Catalogues and magazines distributions start from around £110 per thousand depending on the variables involved.
All prices are subject to VAT. [top]
How finely can you target our deliveries?
Deya offers a delivery down to the individual postcode which on average is about
fifteen homes. For example we can deliver to SE1 1EX but not SE1 1EY if this
is what
the socio-economic
targeting model tells us will generate
the most return on your investment. If you wish to target businesses only we
can work to your list or buy in lists. Business only deliveries with single
items are more expensive than residential deliveries as their volume per square
kilometre is low. We will also deliver to lists of addresses supplied by the client.

Can you help me select the areas to which I can best target my potential customers?
Yes, we can guide you through profiling your customers to match them to geographic
areas so that you target the postcodes that contain the maximum number of your
prospects. There is a charge for using our profiling service. If you already
have profiles we can run your data against our address files and advise you
how
many customer prospects you will have in a particular area.

Do you distribute to all of the UK or just the urban areas?
Deya delivers to all addresses in the UK as required. It is obviously more expensive to deliver to rural areas as all items are delivered on their own rather than as a shared service provided by other operators. [top]
Do you have a minimum volume for a one-off delivery?
Yes, we deliver a minimum of 50,000 items. [top]
How do you manage our relationship and handle any complaints?
Deya assigns a Director to each client and they are available to manage our relationship.
In addition to this we have a dedicated Customer Service team who are trained
to handle any complaints that you may have concerning non-delivery or related
issues.
All
complaints are handled between the day of receipt to a maximum of seven days
dependant on the urgency of each individual case. Report summaries of all customer
enquiries are given at the completion of delivery project.
[top]
How do I know that my expensive items have been
delivered?
A one percent phone check is conducted on each route which is more than you will get from the Royal Mail and most other operators. Our delivery contractors are only paid on receipt of satisfactory quality reports. [top]
Can I conduct Market Research on the delivery that you undertake?
We regularly have our work verified by Market Research Companies such as NOP,
TNS and TSL. Whilst professional research will add to your costs it will provide
you with invaluable benchmarks for the quality of the distribution. Additional
questions concerning the recipient's reaction to the item can be added at marginal
cost.
[top]
Is there a maximum weight that you deliver?
Deya has no maximum weight. We frequently deliver items that weigh over 2kgs. There is an increase in cost related to weight but our price curve has a much lower gradient than the Royal Mail rate cards. [top]
Do you have a minimum weight that you deliver?
We are generally competitive in price for deliveries above 350gms. This is because all our distributions are bespoke for each client and not shared with other items. [top]
Why are your prices higher than most Leaflet Companies?
That is because we are not a leaflet company! We only contract with adult car
owners who are paid above the Minimum Wage. In addition we have thorough
checking procedures as detailed above, a Customer Service department and provide
a consistently high level of service that our existing customers can relate
to you. We specialise in heavier items than leaflets.
Research shows that we deliver approximately 14% more stock than other operators
so using our service avoids wastage through non-delivery and incorrect targeting.

I would love to use your service but my budget doesn't run to it. What would you suggest?
We understand that some low value items or lightweight pieces cannot justify
the costs our system generates. Also some items can reach customers
alongside other pieces without detracting too much from its impact. In these
instances we recommend that you use the Free Newspaper network down to Postcode
sector level. Deya would be happy to provide advice and book this for you.
[top]
What are your payment Terms?
Deya normally asks for a prepayment of 50% of the total contract amount with the balance being paid within 30 days of completion of the job. [top]
What is your minimum charge?
Deya's minimum charge is £3000. [top]
How do we get the stock to you and do you charge dispersal costs that other operators impose?
Deya is experienced in collecting stock from printers or receiving bulk consignments from overseas. These costs are included in the overall price quoted. We do not charge extras for the dispersal of stock to our field operatives. [top]
Do you have regulations about the dimensions of items that you can deliver?
No, each item is assessed on its merits and we can deliver any shape or size within reason. [top]
