Deya's Charitable Trust committee has about £3,000 - £4,000 available each year to donate to charitable organisations. For the last few years the money has been divided up and given to a variety of different organisations across the UK selected by Deya staff or members of our field team. However, this year the committee decided to donate the total sum to a single organisation and try to make a big difference. When it came to selecting the organisation Barnardo's High Close School in Wokingham received the unanimous vote.

The picture shows some of the members of the Charitable Trust committee handing over a cheque to Zoe Latimer (right) who is the Principle of the High Close School. Zoe said the school had been thrilled to hear about the donation and explained that it would be used to buy a new drum kit and also help fund an annual skiing trip for the pupils.

High Close is a mixed residential and day school catering for up to 70 pupils who have a range of special educational needs arising from complex social, emotional behavioural and other difficulties.
